BORDEN COMMUNITY RECREATION ASSOCIATION POLICIES
For the safety of yourself and other members please follow the policies below:
Footwear policy – The only footwear authorized for use in the Buell Fitness and Aquatic Centre is clean, dry, non-marking athletic shoes. Absolutely no outdoor footwear is allowed. Outdoor footwear is classified as any footwear you wear to the facility. Anyone who does not follow the above policy will be denied access.
Children 12 and under must be directly supervised by an adult (16 years of age or older)
Children must be 10 and older to be unsupervised in pool area
Patrons must be 16 years of age to use the weight/cardio rooms.
Membership cards must be shown to Security Staff upon entering
(If your card is lost or stolen please notify staff immediately)
Loan or use of another members card will result in removal of membership
privileges
Gym bags, purses and coats are not allowed in fitness centre. Please LOCK
all belongings in lockers
provided in change rooms (BCRA is not responsible for lost or stolen items)
Street clothes or shoes are not allowed in the fitness centre. This includes
jean type shorts, which have
protruding metal fasteners that cause damage to equipment. Proper athletic
shoes are required. No open
toed shoes, sandals or sock feet are allowed on gym floor or in training
areas.
No food or glass containers are allowed in Buell Fitness and Aquatic Centre
Please do not drop dumb bells or free weights
Be advised that you are using all equipment and machines at your own risk.
BCRA will not be held
accountable for any accidents that may occur.
It is strongly recommended that all members be familiar with the operations,
functions and purpose of all
aerobic and weight training equipment. See Kiosk for more information.
